New Year, More Veggies!

t's time for a post- holiday detox. Let’s add more vegetables into our diets. Here are simple tips to make veggies more delicious and kid-approved!

Season generously with low-sodium options like Mrs. Dash, Tajín, or Tony Chachere's—skip the salt overload!
Add acid for brightness: lemon/lime juice, zest, vinegar, or orange.
Switch cooking methods for new flavors: try raw, steamed, braised, stir-fried, roasted, or air-fried.
Drizzle a little fat such as olive oil or a sprinkle of cheese (in moderation!).
Boost texture such as add nuts/seeds for crunch; cut pieces small for better seasoning coverage.
Create the "perfect bite" by pairing veggies with protein and sauce for combined flavors.
Make it fun with amily experiments with seasonings or cooking methods—turn it into a competition!
Get experiential and grow your own, shop at farmers' markets, or involve kids in meal prep.

Pro tip: Keep junk food out of the house and limit snacking—saves money and reduces temptation!
