Dr. Liz Vazquez-Smith provides care at both SWCC Medical Center and SWCC Hill Country locations.

Dr. Vazquez-Smith is a board-certified pediatrician who joined Southwest Children’s Center in 2022. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2015 with her Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She moved to San Antonio and received her medical degree from the UT Health Science Center in 2019 and went on to complete her pediatric residency at UTHSCSA Department of Pediatrics in 2022.

San Antonio quickly became home to Dr. Vazquez-Smith, her husband Nick, and her two boys Noah and Levi. She loves hiking the hill country, camping at the surrounding State Parks, and working out.

Dr. Vazquez-Smith has a heart to serve her community, whether through her career, opening her home to her neighbors, or alongside her local church. Her work-related passions are newborn care, breastfeeding, nutrition, and positive parenting.

Dr. Vazquez-Smith is fluent in both English and Spanish and welcomes all families.
