Rachel Gravel, M.D., F.A.A.P.

Dr. Rachel Gravel exclusively provides care at the SWCC Hill Country location.

 Dr. Rachel Gravel is a board-certified pediatrician who joined Southwest Children’s Center in 2025. Dr. Gravel grew up in San Antonio and graduated Summa Cum Laude in the

 Honors Program at Troy State University where she also played collegiate volleyball all four years. She recently was honored in being the first volleyball player to be inducted into the Troy

 University Sports Hall of Fame in 2021. After earning a medical degree from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio in the AOA Honors Program, Dr. Gravel completed her pediatric

 residency at San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. She went on to become a Major in the U.S. Army as a Pediatrician before separating from the military in 2015.

 She has cared for children in the Boerne area for the last 10 years before joining Southwest Children’s Center.

 Outside of the clinic, Dr. Gravel enjoys staying involved with her church, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her husband, three girls and their Aussie Doodle, Penny. Her

 husband, Paul, is also a physician who cares for patients in Kerrville.

 Dr. Gravel is especially passionate about newborn care, care of the athlete, and mental health of children and teens. She is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements

 in pediatric care and looks forward to coming beside families to help in making informed medical decisions.
